Our company was born in “granite country” in Elberton, Georgia, born out of solid partnerships and built on solid base of customer service. SWIFTCO was originally named for – Safety, Welding, Industrial, Fire and Tools + Company. Recently we have added more sevices providing the highest quality products to the Packaging, Janitorial, Erosion Control and HVAC industries.

In 1986, Monty Dixon and Merrill Franklin purchased the former Peck Company which was founded by Mr. Dixon’s father-n-law, Cliff Peck, a pioneer in the development of the jet burner widely used in  quarrying operations. In 2000, Monty purchased Merrill’s part of the business and sold Merrill the Fire Extinguisher side of the business.

Though we have grown, expanded into new territories and industries, we have stayed true to our founding principles, we are deeply connected in our communities, often tailoring our services to meet all our partner’s needs. We provide personalized service, build relationships with all our clients, and contribute to the unique characters of all our partners.
